Located on the first floor of 311, the tavern is a bourbon bar for everyone with an extensive bourbon list, craft cocktails, beer and wine along with small bites, pizza and charcuterie options. Howser is a cozy and comfortable space for hotel guests and locals to enjoy.

History

Just like any good bourbon, this building is infused with rich history and Frankfort life. 305-311 St. Clair Street has been home to numerous establishments over the years. Hower’s Saloon was the place for locals to gather for a beverage or an ice cream cone on a hot summer day. In more recent years, Marcus Furniture occupied the full four stories. 

In 2022, Alter Development created a new vision for the space and committed to bringing 311 St. Clair back to life. In the heart of downtown, 311 has been aged to perfection, but is ready for many more memories to come.
